  I would like to say Thank you to the officers who took my call and rescued a Dog from a owners car after being locked in there all morning as far as I know and it could have been all night. Im staying at Motel 6 in warren off of chicago rd its pet friendly and the pets stay "FREE" And I mention this because how can a owner lock her dog up in freezing weather in a car when its a pet friendly motel and its "FREE" by the way this was Sunday morning. I been a little busy I wanted to post this the same day...So yes it was very cold that night and morning and when I seen the dog from inside the back seat of the car the poor dog waa shaking and barking I felt so bad..I did go to the office to inquire about the owner of the car and let the motel know a dog was left in there and they had no clue, So I had no choice but to call Animal control and they were closed but left a number to call so I called and it was Warren Police. I told dispatch of what I seen and less then 10 minutes the cops arrived on the scene and where here a good 30 minutes another police car came the officer checked to see of the car was unlocked and it was not so the next option was to unlock it another cop car showed up they unlocked the back door and the dog jumped out wagging its tail and was so happy. The officers took the dog to the bathroom wich was quick and they also gave the dog some treats and as fast as it ate the treats you can tell it has not aten either! The officers put the dog into he warm cop car and just as they were about to leave and this was about noon after check out time the owner of the car finally came down and was shocked the cops took the dog.. I was shocked that she was shocked about what was going on. Obvisouly the officerds would not return the dog back to her and as she kept opening her moutth they finally handed her to what look like a ticket. In my opion she deerved the dog removed from her care. what kind of owners would keep a dog locked in there car with no place to use the bathroom or eat shame on that owner if you cant house a pet then why own it...Why reeze it in the cold Michigan weather shaking and shivering aaand it was a short hair dog it looked like a pitbull mix. Not only does heat kill animals in the summer time so does the harsh winter months Michigan has as well. If you see any animal being abused in any way please call animal control or your local police station. Let us be the voices and speak out and protect them.Thanks Again to the Warren police and dispatch unit for coming out quickly and taking action and serving and protecting not just humans but also animals as well! I posted pics that I took that day I also video recored as well maybe i will place that on youtube. I hope the dog is staying warm and safe and has a great new family.
